Emotional Landscapes / 2009-2010
It is a part of my graduation work in drawing, a kind of variation of About places series. These drawings were made with the use of graphic methods. Starting point was linocut matrix. In addition to graphics presented on canvas and paper, some of these works have ceramic character. The whole series was made in accordance with the rule: matrix – copy – blind embossing - imprint. During the exhibition I presented the same matrices, coloured in white, often collated with an analogous graphic and tile where they were used. Thus I wanted to refer to the very process of creation. Some works are affixed with a tag where one can find a catalogoue number, title, signature and short note about inspiration that led to its creation. The whole was for me a kind of struggle with various shades of white and specific textures.
